Daniel Walter Oppelt

Daniel Oppelt, age 71, of Fairfield, Ohio passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2022. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on November 18, 1950 to Walter and Patricia Oppelt (nee Wilk).
He was preceded in death by his father, his mother, and his brother Randall Oppelt.
Daniel is survived by his children, Daniel Christopher (Katie) Oppelt, Tracey (Thomas ) Allen and Becky (Dean) Walter. He is the grandfather of Madelyn, Corey, Ava, Lindsay, Preslee and Pria. Daniel is the brother of Barry and Rick Oppelt, Debbie Brooker, and Lisa Krabbe. He is the former spouse of Debbi Schmutte.
He had a long career with CG&E / Duke. He loved the outdoors - camping, skiing, gardening, hiking, taking the kids to the park, playing poker with the guys and playing on the Mack Drugs Softball Team. Faithfully followed the grandkids sporting events and spoiling the family animals.
Visitation will be Monday, April 11, 2022 at Newcomer Funeral Home, West Side Chapel, 3300 Parkcrest Lane, Cincinnati (45211) from 5:00 PM until an informal service at 7:00 PM
