Darlene Scruggs , 67, Beloved Mother of Nicole and Alex Scruggs, of Cincinnati, passed away May 27, 2017.
She was born June 6, 1949 in Bell County, Kentucky, the daughter of Harrison and Nancy (Henderson) Willis. Darlene's journey took her to Cincinnati, OH, Phoenix, AZ, Memphis, TN, and she final found and made a home for her family in Atlanta, GA.
Darlene was a full time mother. She loved and was extremely caring to both her family and friends. She enjoyed cooking, and a nice glass of wine. She loved to dance, and absolutely loved to listen to her music on vinyl records. Darlene was a woman of strength and determination. A Christian who sought out the face of God. She was free spirited, and truly one of a kind. She lived life to the fullest, loved and received love unconditionally. Darlene will continue to be a beautiful woman and mother. She will truly be missed by all who knew her.
Darlene is survived by Husband, James Scruggs; Daughter, Nicole Scruggs; Son, Alex Scruggs; Grandaughter's; Alexsia and Alicia Smith and Great Granddaughter Anyla Jenkins.
She is preceded in death by Mother, Nancy Willis, Father, Harrison Willis, Brother's, Floyd, Lennis, James, Harrison, Jr., Arvil, D. J., and Lee Willis; Sister's, Ruth Partin, Redie Riley, Rosie Riley, and Verdie Russell, .
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday June 10, 2017, in Frakes, Kentucky.
