Daryl Bernard Arvin, aged 53, passed away on July 4, 2011 of a heart attack in Cincinnati, OH. Lovingly known as the angel of the family, Daryl came into this world with his twin sister Darlene on April 22, 1958. He was born to Mary Ann Robey and James Stowers, both of whom preceded him in death. After graduating from Hughes High School (Cincinnati, '77), Daryl went on to work in the Maintenance Department of the Federal Reserve Bank for nearly twenty years. He was proud to have earned the Annual Perfect Attendance Award for several years. He then went on to work in Maintenance at the Drake Hospital, followed by a foray into Food Services at Deaconess Hospital. Daryl was always a jokester and the life of the party. Upon hearing that one of his nieces fainted on her first day of school, he made sure to call her at the beginning of every school year and remind her "Don't Faint!" and laugh uproariously at his own joke. He loved his family and loved spending time with them. He always had a warm smile on his face when surrounded by his family and friends. Daryl loved the simple things in life. Often, nothing could make him happier than a coloring contest with family and friends. He was serious about his pictures! He also loved to play pool and followed the politics of the day voraciously. An avid football and basketball fan, he relentlessly cheered his favorite teams, the Oakland Raiders and the New York Knicks. He was also a great lover of jazz music. He enjoyed spending time with his best friends Gary Taylor, Jonny Taylor, Tony Jordan, Gus, Jesse, Al and Kenny Jackson. Daryl is survived by: his aunt Virginia Jasper, of Cincinnati, OH; his twin sister, Darlene Arvin of Covington, KY; his brother, Todd Stowers (Kimberly) of Cincinnati, OH; his sister, Rose Marie Wilson of Covington, KY; his brother, Wendell Stowers (Aletha) of Cincinnati, OH; his brother Jeffery Stowers (Mary) of Independence, KY; his sister, Robin Sheffield of Covington, KY; his sister, Kathleen Stowers of Covington, KY; his sister, Michelle Stovers of Covington, KY; his sister, Sharon Bass of Elsmere, KY; his brother, James Stowers Jr. of Taylor Mill, KY; his brother, Phillip Stowers of Cincinnati, OH; his brother, Joseph Stowers (Sandra) of Elsmere, KY; Dionne Stowers of Covington, KY; Brothers Gilbert and Keith Stowers who preceded him in death; first cousins, Marva Payne, Mark Jasper, and Margo Springs (Lonnie) of Cincinnati, OH.
