David Edward Duncan Sr., age 74, of Dillsboro, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 13, 2024. Born on February 10, 1950, in Covington, Kentucky, he was the son of Harold E. Duncan and Rita J. Wilson (nee Conway).
David's life was filled with passions for the outdoors. He enjoyed camping, repelling, jeeping, and four-wheeling, often taking trips to the beautiful Red River Gorge and Tennessee. A skilled woodworker and carpenter at heart, he had the remarkable ability to build almost anything with his hands, showcasing his creativity and craftsmanship.
David was preceded in death by his loving parents, Harold E. Duncan and Rita J. Wilson (nee Conway), as well as his brother Jerry Duncan, sister Carol Sauser, and grandson David E. Duncan, III. He leaves behind a cherished family, daughter Bethann (John Walls) Duncan, son David (Ashley) Duncan, Jr., daughters Michelle Boshears and Misty Duncan, along with siblings Karen Zigelmier, Ronald Duncan, and Beverly Nelson. He will be deeply missed by his 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, as well as a wide circle of family and friends.
A private memorial service will be scheduled at the convenience of the family at a later date.
