David E. Federle, "Sparky", Beloved husband of the late Elizabeth (Frank) Federle; loving father of Katherine, Thomas, Carol (Ed) Flueck, Margaret (Todd) Amend, Jennifer (Ted) Gwinner and the late Teresa Federle. Proud Grandfather of Michael, Nicole and Elizabeth Federle; Rachel, Jordan, Jared, Ryan and Corey Flueck; Emma Amend; and Cody, Jake, Taylor and Alli Gwinner. He was also survived by numerous relatives and friends. Dave had a minor league baseball career in the 1930's, but it was cut short due to World War II. During the Aleutian Islands Campaign, he fought in the Battle of Attu as an Army Medic. He was a life member of the Charles R. Gailey V.F.W. Post 7340. Dave Retired in 1980 after 30 years of service with Ford Motor Company. He passed away peacefully August 4, 2011 at age 93. Visitation Monday, August 8th from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 7830 Hamilton Avenue, Mt. Healthy, Ohio. Burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. We love you Dad/Grandpa!
