David Flantoill was born on June 22, 1937 in DeWitt, Arkansas to Velma Brewer Flantoill and Clarence Flantoill where he spent his early childhood and also in Little Rock. In the late 1940's his family moved to Chicago, Illinois, where he lived till adulthood.
In the late 1960's he moved to Cincinnati, Ohio. He was employed by Xerox Corporation for 27 years. After his retirement from Xerox in 1995, he continued to work part-time for Skipper's Lounge and Copy Tech until 2007 when he retired totally.
He leaves his loving wife, Dorcie; sons, David (Ruth), Michael, Edward, Terry (Julie); daughters, Shielah, Susan, Dannetta; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also leaves a nephew, Reginald S. Butler (Lisa) and two great-nieces.
David departed this life on August 4, 2012 at 75 years of age, or "three quarters of a century" as he liked to say.
