Deborah King-Campbell, age 56, a resident of Walton, Kentucky peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 4, 2020 in Hospice Care of St. Elizabeth - Edgewood. She was born in Covington, Kentucky to Ted Wayne King, Sr. and Gloria Jean (Wilshire) King.
Debbie graduated from Simon Kenton High School in 1981 where she enjoyed being a part of the Color Guard Team. She was a former employee of Boone County Water District as a Reports Specialist.
Debbie's legacy was one of a valiant fighter as she battled Lupus for more than 20 years and most recently cancer. Her fight was not only for herself but driven by her desire to be there for family and friends. She endured the pain and often encouraged others through their own trials. She was an advocate for her Lupus community. She will always be remembered for her generous giving, often opening up her heart and home to those who needed both. Debbie had a great sense of humor and accepted people for who they were. People were drawn to her for these qualities. To be her friend was to become part of her extended family.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, Ted Wayne King, Sr. and Gloria Simmons and two brothers, Ted Wayne King, Jr. and James Michael King.
Debbie is survived by her devoted and caring husband, Michael Campbell; her son Tim (April) King of Crittenden, KY; four grandchildren, Alexis Todd, Christina Todd, Cuylinn Huffman and Bryson King; two sisters Wendy (Chuck) Smith of Florence, KY and Dannie Jean (Gary) Leonard of Walton, KY and two nephews Daniel Smith and Jay Simmons as well as many extended family and friends all of whom will hold her memory close.
Special gratitude to DaVita Dialysis Center in Walton, Kentucky and St. Elizabeth Edgewood Hospice for their amazing care.
