Debra Sue Bush

Debra "Debbie" Bush, age 63, of Petersburg, Kentucky went to her eternal home with her Savior in Heaven on Monday, February 1, 2021. She was born in Lima, Ohio on October 10, 1957 to Hugh D. and Darlene Ward (nee Williams).
Debbie was first and foremost a child of God. Her family was the highlight of her life. She loved the invaluable time spent sharing and creating memories with her entire family, especially her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling and going on adventures with her dear husband, Travis, who she married on September 27, 1997. Debbie was blessed to be able to attend Beckfield College where she fulfilled her life's purpose in becoming a nurse. She served as a RN for 13 years and touched the lives of numerous coworkers and patients. In her profession she was looked up to and valued by every person who crossed her path. She was a mentor and a friend to all who needed someone to help. In her free time you could find her crafting in her craft room. She enjoyed making shirts, cups, signs, and anything she could gift her loved ones. She will be remembered most by her kindness and willing to help anybody in need. She was the glue that held her family together.
She was preceded in death by her father, and sister-in-law, V. Sue Ward.
Debra is survived by her beloved husband of 25 years, Travis Bush; children, Travis W. (Tyanna) Bush, Brad J. (Shawn) Hardin, Kristi Gipson, James Blanton; 14 grandchildren; mother, Darlene Ward; brothers, Hugh D. (Sarah) Ward, Jr., Scott Ward; and a host of other family members and friends.
In loving memory of Debra, contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 4540 Cooper Road, Cincinnati, Ohio, 45242.
A visitation will be Tuesday, February 9, 2021 from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm at Petersburg Baptist Church, 6537 Market Sreet, Petersburg, Kentucky 41080. A funeral ceremony will follow at 1:00 pm with burial taking place at Petersburg Cemetery in Petersburg, Kentucky.
