Diane Wheeler, age 70, of Middletown, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2020.
She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on August 16, 1949 to Melvin W. and Ida Mae Wirmel (nee Weiss).
Diane graduated from Cincinnati Technical College where she received her degree for Surgical Technologist. She became a beloved and highly respected member of the O.R. Team at Mercy Fairfield Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James "Jim" Wheeler; parents; two sisters, Sandra (Darrell) Record and Patricia (Paul) Haddix; and two nieces, Nickole Williamson and Stacey Williamson.
Diane is survived by her children, Tonya (Michael) Gilbert, Matthew Semones, Amber Sea, and Derrick Bach; grandchildren, Heather (John) Lee, Dakoda Britton, Kyle Semones, Hope Semones, Cori Mattstedt, Kevin Mattstedt, Dylan Bach, Seth Bach, and Tyler Bach; great-grandchildren, Alexis Bothe, and William Lane; sister, Kathleen Mattcheck; brother-in-law, Ronald (Cynthia) Wheeler; nieces and nephews, Darrell (Stella) Record, Jr., Daniel Record, Kenneth Smith, Michael (Stacey) Smith, and Barbara (Joe) Nerlinger; and many great nieces and nephews; as well as her beloved dog, Rusty and her cat, Fonzie; long-time friends, Tim McCandless, Donna McCracken, and Lynn Lindsey; and a host of other family members and friends.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Hospice of Dayton for their kind and attentive care, and thank Diane's sister, Kathy for remaining by her side, loving her, and caring for her until the end.
The committal service and inurnment will take place graveside at Landmark Cemetery, 1600 Glendale Milford Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45215, on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at 10:00AM.
