Dianne Rothfuss

Dianne Rothfuss, 74, of Union, Kentucky passed away on Saturday November 9, 2019. She was born in Albemarle, North Carolina on February 5, 1945 to the late Mary Burleson. Her father lost his life while serving during WWII.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank L. Rothfuss, Jr. and Bob Shipp, who she considered her father.
Dianne is survived by two children, Jeff (Christine) Rothfuss and Mindy Rothfuss, one grandson, Evan Rothfuss, one sister, Bobbie Bayne, as well as many nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.
Dianne served the community as a realtor for over 30 years, and loved to travel with her family. She was a pioneer in paving the way for community integration for individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities. With a parent group from the Arc of Boone County which merged in 1985 with The Point Arc of Northern Kentucky (still in operation today), Dianne was actively involved in creating progress in all levels of services so desperately needed for those like her daughter. As a result, Dianne can now rest at peace knowing Mindy will always have a safe and happy home.
The family will host a Celebration of Life at the First Church of Christ 6080 Camp Ernst Road Burlington, Kentucky 41005 at 12:00pm on Friday, November 15, 2019 with a visitation from 11:00am until the service time.
In lieu of flowers, Dianne's family ask that contributions be made in her memory to The Point 104 W. Pike St. Covington, KY 41011; The ALS Association 8640 Haines Dr. Florence, KY 41042 or St. Elizabeth Hospice 483 South Loop, Edgewood, KY 41017.
