Don Edward Suggs Sr.

Don Edward Suggs Sr. age 84, of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2023. He was born in Leighton, Alabama on June 11, 1938 the Son of the late, John and Etta Lee Suggs (nee Monroe).

Don is survived by his children, Don E. Suggs Jr., Patricia Suggs, Ronald Suggs, Donald M. Suggs, and Michael Gaston; Also by his grandchildren, Rayshawnda Suggs, Nicole Suggs, Alicia Gaston, Aaron Suggs, Antwain Sugg, Brandon Suggs, Michael C. Gaston Sr. and Johnathan Hix. Don is also survived by a brother, L.C. Suggs, and a sister, Lucy Coates, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter Verethia Suggs, his brothers, Charles, Pete, Herman, Bob, Tommy, and Major Suggs, also by 2 sisters, Cora Lee and Mattie Suggs.

He liked watching sports, his favorite football team was the Pittsburgh Steelers, and like watching golf, and enjoyed the Cincinnati Reds.
He also enjoyed cooking and loved traditional and contemporary Jazz music, and singing in a quartet. He enjoyed treating neighborhood children, occasionally with candy and Ice cream. Also like playing basketball with his nephews. Was also a very good handy man that could fix anything and was a gardener.

Memorial Service will be 4:00 pm Saturday, March 11, 2023 with a visitation from 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - West Side Chapel, 3300 Parkcrest Lane, Cincinnati, Ohio 45211.
