Donald "Sam" James Seifert

Donald James Seifert, affectionately known as Sam, was born on July 14, 1956, in Covington, Kentucky. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on February 19, 2025, in Edgewood, Kentucky, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and selflessness.

From a young age, Sam exhibited a warm and humorous personality, often putting the needs of others above his own. He was a devoted family man who cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. His passion for animals was well-known, and he took great joy in the companionship of his dogs. Sam enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, particularly watching westerns, which brought him much happiness.

In addition to his family and hobbies, Sam dedicated a significant portion of his life to helping those in need. He was a volunteer for St. Vincent de Paul, reflecting his commitment to making a difference in the community he cared so much about.

Sam is survived by his children, Anthony James (Mandy) Seifert and Sarah O'Rourke; his grandsons, Anthony James Seifert, Jr. and Miles O'Rourke; and his dear sisters, Phyllis (Joseph) Bechtold, Kathaleen Ann (Johnny) Griffin, and Carrie Centers. He also leaves behind a host of other family members and friends who will remember him fondly.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Anthony Seifert; his mother, Anna Lee Seifert (nee Hallam); his brothers, Bruce Wesselman and Richard Anthony Seifert; and his sister, Loretta Elizabeth Hudgens.

Visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, Northern Kentucky, located at 4350 Dixie Hwy, Erlanger, KY 41018, on February 26, 2025, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service from 1:00 PM.

Sam will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his spirit and the love he shared will continue to resonate in the hearts of those he touched.
