Donna Carolyn Littlefield

Donna Carolyn Littlefield, known to all as Nana, of Florence, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at the age of 88. She was born on November 22, 1936, in Granet City, Illinois, to Joseph Edward Carney and Catherine E. Overstreet.

A devoted mother, Donna cherished her children and grandchildren, always putting her family at the heart of her life. She had a passion for cooking and often enjoyed hosting gatherings, where her warmth and hospitality could shine. Together with her husband, she took great pleasure in traveling, particularly in their cherished motorhome. Donna was an active member of her community, serving as president of her garden club and participating in the Red Hat Society. A true animal lover, she also had an immense affection for all creatures.

With a witty personality and a delightful sense of humor, Donna will be remembered as a classy lady who always presented herself with elegance and grace.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Edward Carney and Catherine E. Overstreet; her sons, Carlos Ayala and Steve Littlefield; her brothers, David, Joseph, Danny, and Bobby Carney; her sisters, Judy Bostrom and Ruthann Carney; and her brother-in-law, Bryant Bostrom, as well as her sister-in-law, Helen Carney.

Donna is survived by her beloved husband of 53 years, James Littlefield; her son, Harry (Deborah) Ayala; her daughter, Marjorie (Dan) Wolverton; her son, Michael Ayala; her daughter, Carol (Ron) Cummings; her sons, Scott and Craig Littlefield; 23 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Paul Carney; her sister, Sue (Terry) Boswell; daughter-in-law, Sheila Ayala; and a host of other family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

 A Memorial Service will take place Saturday, February 22, 2025 at 12:00pm at 10100 Sherwood Lake Drive, Florence, Kentucky 41042
