Dora Ugenia Frost

Elsmere

Dora Ugenia Frost (nee Callen), a cherished matriarch and beloved member of her community, peacefully passed away on September 11, 2024 surrounded by her devoted family in Edgewood, Kentucky. Born on May 5, 1933, in Covington, Kentucky, she graced this world for 91 years, leaving behind an enduring legacy of kindness, love, and faith.

Dora was known for her simplicity and warmth, often embodying the nurturing spirit of a devoted mother and grandmother. Her faith was unwavering, and she was a proud and active member of Elsmere Baptist Church. Throughout her life, she inspired others as a Sunday school teacher and was deeply involved with numerous church organizations. The foundation of her life was built on love and faith, creating a nurturing environment for her family and friends.

Even in her happiest moments, Dora found solace in the beauty of nature. When not tending to the needs of her cherished family, she enjoyed leisurely fishing trips and spending time in her vibrant garden, especially looking at the roses lovingly planted by her late husband, Taylor. Each bloom served as a reminder of their enduring love and the beautiful life they shared together.

Dora is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Sherry (Tim) Molhem and Nancy (John) Penick, who carry forth her spirit of compassion and care. Her legacy also thrives in the hearts of her grandchildren: Michael Mullins, Jennifer Johnson, Christine Mullins, Carrie Taylor, Casey Patterson, Brittany Pence, and Joseph Bohman. Dora was also blessed with 18 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren, whose laughter and vibrant lives will continue to echo the love she instilled in her family. She is further remembered by her numerous nieces and nephews, who will miss her gentle guidance and loving embrace.

Dora was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Earl and Ellen Callen (nee Crout), her devoted husband, Taylor Frost, and her brothers and sister: Earl Callen, Jr., Harold Callen, Charles Callen, and Joan Dove. Each of these relationships marked significant influences in her life, as she leaned on their love and support to create a family rooted in togetherness.

A visitation and funeral service will be held on September 18, 2024, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4350 Dixie Hwy., Erlanger, KY, allowing family and friends to gather in honor of a life well-lived. The visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM. Dora will be lovingly interred at Highland Cemetery in Fort Mitchell, KY, where she will rest peacefully beside her beloved husband.

In these moments of remembrance, we celebrate Dora Ugenia Frost, a woman whose simple yet profound presence enriched the lives of all fortunate enough to know her. Her love, faith, and devotion will continue to inspire and comfort those who carry her memory in their hearts.
