Doris Lloyd

Doris Ruth Lloyd, 61, of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at her home. She was born October 12, 1952 in Gallipolis and raised on a dairy farm near the Thurman area. Doris was the daughter of the late John and Ruth (Beman) Lloyd. Doris was a member of the Thurman United Methodist Church. She was a 1970 graduate of Southwestern High School and a 1975 graduate of Ohio University. Doris worked for many years as a manager at Cognis, a manufacturing division of Proctor and Gamble.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ruth Lloyd. She is survived by a sister, Bernice Lloyd; two brothers, Dwight (Becky) Lloyd of Gallipolis and Hayden Lloyd of Cincinnati; two nephews, Eric (Amy) Lloyd and Greg (Valerie) Lloyd; one niece, Ashley (Greg) Sullivan; five great nephews/nieces, Colton Lloyd, Emeri Lloyd, Gabriel Lloyd, Macie and Andrew Sullivan; special friends, Barbara Menges and Bob Lokstroh.
Doris will be remembered as living a sacrificial life to others after the pattern described in Luke 9:23-25. Friends and family are aware of how she has generously cared for family members since the early 1970's.
