Pope, Doris Ann age 81, of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away on Monday, October 25, 2021. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on June 9, 1940 to the late Margaret Hudson (nee Pope).
Doris is survived by her beloved daughters, Cheryl Cook and Kimberly Cook; grandchildren, Angela Cook, Andriette Anderson, Anita Anderson and Joshua Miles; great-grandson, Isaiah Miles; brother, Ronald (the late Nadine) Hudson; several cousins, nieces and nephews; and a host of other family members and friends.
Doris graduated from Withrow High School. She was a seamstress at Polly Flinders for over 20 years, where she retired in 1994. She also worked as a case processing clerk at the IRS, where she retired in December of 2017. She worked part-time for Cincinnati Sports Service in the concessions department for over 20 years. Doris was an avid Red's fan, who enjoyed the casino and dog races. Doris loved to travel with her family and her traveling group. She was an excellent cook and her family enjoyed her many recipes. She loved her family, her grandchildren and great-grandson were the light of her life.
In loving memory of Doris, contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati at 4310 Cooper Rd. Blue Ash, OH 45242. A visitation will be held Wednesday, November 3, 2021 from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm with a service to immediately follow at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Northwest Chapel, 7830 Hamilton Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231. There will be a Celebration of Life following the service at the Mt. Healthy Community Room, 1541 Hill Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231. Burial will take place Thursday November 4, 2021 at Vine Street Hill. To be part of the funeral procession please meet promptly at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Northwest Chapel, 7830 Hamilton Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231 at 10:00 am Thursday November 4, 2021.
