Dorothy Elizabeth Frierson was born on July 9, 1945 in Columbia, South Carolina to the union of the late Maul Tobin and Lizzie Addy. On Monday
January 9, 2012, Dorothy found peace in the arms of her Lord.
She graduated from WC Johnson high School in Columbia, S.C., and went onto Benedict College where she earned her Associates Degree.
She met and married Charles Lamar Frierson (who proceeded her in death), and from that union three daughters were born Avis Darlene White (Lemuel), Charlene Melissa Frierson, and Joy Camille Frierson.
She worked for 30 years as a Master Tailor at Hamilton Globe Tailoring Company. She then went back to school and earned another degree in Computer Science.
Dorothy accepted the Lord as her Savior in 1986, and never looked back. She was a loyal and faithful member of Word of Truth International Church where she served 8 years as the church secretary.
She was known as "Minister D", after successfully completing the Minister's Training Course at Word of Truth Church!!
Dorothy was a Chaplin for Transforming Jail Ministry, and worked in the community as an advocate for HIV and AIDS., She was part of Word of Truths Praise Team, Dance Ministry, and a member of The In Time Handmaidens. Dorothy E Frierson was a strong Intercessor Prayer Warrior and a True Worshiper!!!
Dorothy, leaves to cherish her memory; loving daughters; Avis White (Lemuel), Charlene Melissa Frierson, Joy Camille Frierson, Nichole Charee Frierson (proceeded her in death), 5 grandchildren; DeAris Murray, Briddia Murray, Jachari & David Stanton, Betty Smith, 3 great grandchildren; Brookelyn Murray, DeAris Murray Jr., Evi'yon Sheafe, sister; Catherine Riley, special sister & loving best friend Melvenna McCollom, special sons; Alvin Murray Jr., Carlos & Wesley Dew, favorite cousin Thomas Goodwin (Cynthia), and special extended family; Sylvia, Martha, and Edna Harris, and a host of other friends and relatives…..
