Dorothy Lee Smith was born March 22, 1960 in Hayti, Missouri to Jimmy and Leola Smith. Dorothy was one of eleven children, she was preceded in death by her father Jimmy Smith; four sisters Daisy, Leola, Ollie, and Katie Smith; two brothers William and Earnest Smith.
Dorothy was a strong black woman. Her focus in life has always been to support her family. She was a devoted daughter and mother even through her illness she would make us laugh by fussing at Mr. John. She was a very sweet-hearted person that would give all she had. In her mother words, "She was a very good child".
She leaves behind a loving mother Leola Smith; three sisters Annie Mae Smith, Brenda Smith, Hattie Smith; one brother Coy Smith; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nephew, and her lover John Smithman. Leaving behind the most, her beloved son Courtney Antonio Smith and two grandchildren.
