Douglas E. Lawson

Lawson, Douglas E. "Bud" age 91, of Burlington, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2023. He was born in Lothair, Kentucky on March 2, 1932 to the late Fred and Christine Lawson (nee Stacy).

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Donald Lawson, Raymond Lawson, Bobby Lawson and Leonard Lawson. Douglas is survived by his beloved children, Jill (Eric) Fugate, Ronnie (Suzie) Lawson, Charlotte (Greg) Seckman and Ricky (Karen) Lawson; siblings, Johnny Lawson, Nannie Lou Wilcox, Shelia Napier, Debbie Overbee and Helen Lawson; 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren; beloved dog, Kiss; and a host of other family members and friends.

Doug spent 22 years in the military and 36 years with General Motors. He retired from Furrows and Kroger. He was a member of the UAW Local 674. He was also a professional wrestler in the 60's and 70's along with his brother, Leonard Lawson. He enjoyed collecting coins, fishing and weightlifting.

A visitation will be held Saturday, July 1, 2023 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm followed by a service at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Northern Kentucky Chapel, 4350 Dixie Highway, Erlanger, Kentucky 41018.

Following services there will be a reception at Ralph Fulton VFW Post 6423.
