Rex, Douglas age 73, of Alexandria, Kentucky went to heaven Saturday, October 29, 2022. He was born in Rochester, New York on June 23, 1949 to the late Edward and Rosemary Rex (nee Bell).
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Ted Rex and Jennifer Cecil. Douglas is survived by his beloved wife, Janice Rex (nee Ruth); children, Jordan (Steven) Wright, Jayden Rex and Jason Cannon; grandchildren, Dawsyn Wright, Wesley Douglas Wright, Eli Wright Joseph Cecil and Jenna Cannon; sister-in-law, Kay Rex; siblings, Greg (Jane) Rex, Nancy Rex and Anne Rex; bonus brother, Fred (Sheila) Plessner; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other family members and friends.
Doug played for the Houston Rockets in the NBA. He loved banana splits and anything chocolate. He enjoyed playing black jack at the casino. His favorite job was being a papa.
