Easterine Collier

April 4, 1945 — June 28, 2021

Beloved mother and grandmother, Easterine never quite liked her given name, so she was affectionally know as Rennie. She was 76 and passed away in Cincinnati, Ohio at The Christ Hospital on Monday June 28, 2021. Our dear sister had a long battle with many illnesses and now she is at rest awaiting the resurrection. Rennie was born to Thelma Reeves in Greenville GA on April 1, 1945.

In her young life she traveled with her then husband to many states and countries. She moved back to Cincinnati and attended Cincinnati State College, where she earned a degree in nursing. In 1974 she became one of Jehovah's witnesses and she remained an enthusiastic witness until her death. She spent 30 years working at the Pauline Warfield Lewis Center until she retired and focused more of her energy on her ministry.

Rennie was generous and willing to support the preaching working any way she could. She had an insatiable quest for learning and growing in the truth. However, she also loved to fish, play cards and listen to good music, her favorite being Motown. She had an enthusiasm for life and never took for granted her many blessings. Above all else, she loved her three children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Rennie is survived by her sons, Henry E. Collier (Butch), and Steven C. Collier, daughter-in-law Loreca Collier; grandchildren, Anthony C. Collier, Aris Collier, Joseph Collier, Brandi L. Carter, Rhonda Johnson, Jovan Collier, Elijah Collier; 12 great grandchildren; siblings, Richard (Rick) Blunt, Juanita Mccoy, Belinda J. Woods, Randall Blunt. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and her former husband, Henry Collier, her beloved daughter Victoria L. Collier and her brother Samuel D. Blunt.

The family wants to thank everyone who came to the hospital to cheer her up during her long stay, along with the loving friends who came and rubbed cream on her aching legs and all the devoted family members who transported her to dialysis. You are much loved and will always be dear in our hearts.
