Edward "Heddley" Helmer, Jr., age 66, of Covington, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2023. He was born in Covington, Kentucky on June 2, 1957 to Edward and Lillian Apted (nee Bramlage).
Heddley never met an enemy, he was loved by all who knew him. He was a huge NASCAR fan and raced GoKarts and cars. Heddley could often be found tinkering with something. He will be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Helmer, Sr., mother, Lillian Apted, sister, Linda Bruin.
Heddley is survived by his siblings, Steve (Patricia) Helmer, Jeff (Joan) Helmer, Doug (Amy) Helmer, Laura Helmer, Larry Redding; mother, Elma Helmer; step-father; Red Apted; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other family members and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
