Edward Michael Kaminski

Edward Michael Kaminski, age 102, of Florence, KY passed away on October 2, 2023. He left the loving arms of his family and is now in the loving arms of GOD. He was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine, and his oldest son, Michael, who are still loved and still missed.

Edward proudly served his country as a Captain in the Air Force. As a pilot during WWII, stationed in England, he flew 34 missions with the 8th Army Air Force, 452nd Bomb Group, 730th Squadron. Edward was awarded numerous medals including the Purple Heart. He met his wife, Catherine Mary Kaminski, at a small church in a United States Army Post at Fort Knox, KY.

He will be dearly missed by his beautiful daughter, Susan, of FL; two loving sons, Kenneth, of FL and Robert (wife Joyce), of KY. Other loving family members that will miss his bright eyes and warm, loving smile include: granddaughters, Stephanie and Sara, grandsons, Benjamin, Nicholas and Curtis; and great grandchildren, Ethan, Julia, Calvin, Zayden, Ryker and Alex.

Not only was he a devoted, loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, he was truly dedicated to service for neighbors, community, church, charities and country.

Funeral services will be held at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 7301 Dixie Hwy, Florence, KY 41042 on Monday, October 16, 2023 at 10:30am.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Edward's memory may be made to Bluegrass Hospice Care/Bluegrass Care Navigators General Fund and/or St. Paul Catholic Church.
