Eileen M. Smith, lovingly known for her sweet, kind, and caring spirit, was born on September 23, 1939, in Rochester, New York. She left this world peacefully on November 28, 2024, in Ft. Thomas, Kentucky, leaving behind a legacy of love and warmth.
Eileen was a remarkable individual who never met a stranger. Her ability to connect with people was a testament to her loving nature. Those who had the privilege to share in her life knew her as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who cherished her family above all else. She found joy in spending time with her loved ones and created a home filled with laughter and compassion.
In her younger years, Eileen enjoyed tending to her garden and cooking, hobbies that she approached with the same love and dedication she showed to her family. These interests not only brought her joy but also allowed her to share delicious meals and beautiful blooms with those she cared about. They were just additional expressions of her generous spirit.
Eileen is survived by her beloved children, Thomas Findley, Lisa Findley, Randy Findley and Brian (Lesia) Findley. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: Jelisa Findley, Derrick Findley, Josh Findley, Sarah (Joe) Mathews, Adam Findley, Daniel Findley, Jesse Findley and Krystle Findley, as well as an adoring array of great-grandchildren including Cayden Manning, Liam Manning, Colton Mathews, Wyatt Mathews, Jaxson Mathews, D'Angelo Chatmon, Zariah Palmer, Skylar Findley, Kayla Findley, Jordan Findley, Justin Findley, Bradley and Kailey Findley. Each of them carries a piece of her heart into their lives.
Eileen was preceded in death by her father, Roy Underwood; her mother, Rita Underwood (nee Angelo); and her son, Mike Findley. Their love remains woven into her story, adding depth to the beautiful tapestry of her life.
In commemorating Eileen's life, friends and family are invited to join in remembrance at Newcomer Funeral Home, Northern Kentucky in Erlanger, Kentucky. A visitation will be held on December 5, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM to honor her memory and the love she imparted to all.
Eileen’s spirit will forever shine brightly in the hearts of her loved ones, and her memory will continue to inspire kindness, compassion, and a love for family. She was a blessing to those fortunate enough to know her, and she will be deeply missed.
