Elizabeth Ann Billow, was born on May 31, 1951, in Covington, Kentucky. She passed away peacefully on April 25, 2025, in Union, Kentucky, leaving a legacy of love, compassion, and joy that will be cherished by all who knew her.
For 30 years, Elizabeth dedicated her life to nursing, working tirelessly at several area nursing homes and the VA, where her nurturing spirit and kind heart transformed the lives of countless patients. Her commitment to caring for others was matched only by her vivacious personality, marked by abundant generosity, intelligence, and a zest for life that inspired those around her.
A woman who loved the simple pleasures of life, Elizabeth was most at home on sunny beaches, soaking up the warmth of the sun while enjoying her favorite music and dancing. Her creative spirit found expression in crafting, particularly in her cherished pastime of crocheting. Family gatherings were filled with laughter and love as she engaged in games and shared special moments with her adored grandchildren. Her love for her family was boundless, and she took immense joy in doting on each of them.
Elizabeth is survived by her devoted husband of 35 years, Mike Billow, and her two loving daughters, Jami (Ryan Collins) Smith and Tammy Whalen. She was the proud grandmother of London Menning, Jackson Menning, Tyler Morris, and Trent Morris, each of whom held a special place in her heart. She also leaves behind her brother, Bill (Debbie) McCarty, along with a host of other family members and friends whose lives were deeply touched by her kindness and generosity.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her mother, Billie McCarty (nee Underwood), her father, Collie McCarty, and two sisters, Sharon Kiskaden and Cheryl Setters. Their memories undoubtedly brought her comfort throughout her life, and their spirits will join hers in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
A visitation to honor Elizabeth's life will be held on April 30, 2025, at Newcomer Funeral Home, Northern Kentucky from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 7:00 PM.
Elizabeth Ann Billow will be missed profoundly; her legacy of love, laughter, and compassion will forever remain in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known her.
