Elnora Garner

Elnora Garner, age 89 was born on May 11, 1922 in Demopolis, Alabama to the late Willie Whitfield and Ollie Whitfield.

She moved to Cincinnati, Ohio in 1977.

She devoted her life to serving the Lord. Her life was a testimony to all, as she was a mother of the church. She was a member of St. James Church of God for many years under the leadership of the late pastor Martha Williams. Later she became a member of New Birth Christian Center, under the leadership of Pastors Ronnie and Billy E. Stevenson. In 2001, God led her to Faith Outreach Ministries where her son, Pastor David Garner presided as minister together with his wife, Pastor Doriann Garner.

Elnora loved to cook, shop and travel back home to Demopolis, Alabama where her daughter Della still lives. She loved to make ceramics and fellowship with friends and family.

Elnora was married to the late Steven Garner who preceded her in death. Two brothers; Willie Whitfield and Frederick Whitfield; four sisters, Lucy Grayer, Claire Essex, Ollie Amison and Mary Burge, who all preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memories, 8 children, David Garner (Doriann), Bertha Wheeler, Rosie Pitts (Donald), Della Seabron (Edward), Brenda Pierce (Ronald), Dorothy Beasley (Charles), Preston Garner (Bridgette), John Garner; twenty grand children; twenty-nine great grand children and a host of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
