Emma Love, age 72, of Florence, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2023. She was born in Lexington, Mississippi on October 27, 1951 to Ruben and Samantha Hoskins (Cooper).
Emma moved to Chicago, Illinois, where she was raised, shortly after her birth. She was a graduate of Harrison High School. She went on to marry Willie Love, Sr. on April 4, 1971 and have three children. She was a dedicated employee of L'Oreal for over 30 years and retired from there in 2017. Emma loved spending her time traveling and watching westerns. She was a very proud mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who never wanted to miss celebrating her family's accomplishments.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ruben Hoskins, daughter, Christy Love, brothers, Ruben Jr. and Bernard, and former spouse, Willie Love, Sr. Emma is survived by her beloved mother, Samantha Hoskins; son, Willie (Jaime) Love, Jr.; daughter, Tina Price; grandchildren, Kianna, Christian, Kayla and Kendal; great-grandchildren, Isiah, Aaliyah and Christian Jr.; sisters, Bertha and Geraldine; brothers, Emmanuel, Andrew and Alonzo; God-family, The Joneses; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other family members and friends.
A memorial service in Chicago will be held Saturday, December 2, 2023. More details to follow.
