Eric Gregory Morgan was born on February 3, 1974 in Columbus, Ohio. Guided by loving and nurturing parents, Eric learned the value of church, family and a relationship with God at an early age.
Eric was the typical kid. He enjoyed playing sports, clowning around, and having fun whenever the opportunity presented itself; sometimes at the expense of his brothers and sisters. But Eric was also an extraordinary kid. He was articulate, intelligent, thoughtful, and had a heart for people.
Whether he was Eric on a typical day or Eric on an extraordinary day, it was always clear that he loved and valued life, friends and family. Eric took the same values with him into manhood and eventually into fatherhood. He always took great pride in his kids and always wanted the best for them. Being a good father was always of the utmost importance to him, and Eric was always trying to find ways to keep getting better at it.
Eric went through years of severe health problems. Although at times it would have been easier to give up, Eric continued to persevere through those difficult times. Eric quietly passed away Thursday, June 16, 2011 in Columbus, Ohio.
He leaves behind his children: Jada Monet Brown Morgan, Eric Gregory Morgan, Jr., and Evan Brown; his parents Tyrone and Delores Morgan; sisters Nicole Morgan, Angela Melissa Morgan and Monica Morgan Taylor; brothers Julian Morgan and Greg Pierson. He also leaves behind his extended family in Columbus; Rick, Kim, many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends in both Cincinnati and Columbus.
