Ernest Ferguson

Ernest "Ernie" Ferguson, also known on the CB Radio, "Popeye", age 83, of Cheviot, Ohio passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2023. He was born in Eberle, Kentucky on May 23, 1940 to Pearl and Hazel Cook (nee Moore).

Ernie was a proud Army Veteran and served his country well for 6 years. Additionally, he was a proud member of the Free Masons.

He was preceded in death by his father, Pearl Ferguson, mother, Hazel Cook, daughters, Brenda Faye Kendall, and Barbara Ann Ferguson, step-son, Tony Doyle, first wife,"Teddy", and many siblings.

Ernest is survived by his wife of 11 years, Venia L. Rose Ferguson (nee Sparks); children, Ricky Lee Ferguson, Sylvia Owens; step-children, Mitzie Borgemenke, Arvenia (John) Allen, Ronald (Rosanne) Doyle, Ritchie (Sharon) Doyle; grandchildren, Anthony Ross Barlow, Anna Nicole Sandlin, Nathan Arnold Owens, Zachary Tyler Kendall, Jeremy Kendall, Thomas Kendall; several great-grandchildren; many step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, and step-great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends.

Funeral Ceremony will be 6:00 pm Wednesday, July 26, 2023 with a visitation from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - West Side Chapel, 3300 Parkcrest Lane, Cincinnati, Ohio 45211. Burial will take place on Thursday, July 27, 2023 at 1:00pm at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-North, 205 Eibeck Lane, Williamstown, Kentucky 41097.
