Ernest R. Wilson

WILSON, Ernie R. "PaPa", age 83 of Cincinnati passed away on Monday, January 11, 2016. He was born on June 1, 1932 in Middletown, Ohio the son of John and Callie (Plummer) Wilson. Ernest was a veteran with the United States Navy, a member of the Masonic F&AM Lodge 346 for 50 years, and was a past member of the Southern Gateway Barber Shop Chorus. He was employed with Siemens as an Electrician for 51 years. On May 6, 1961 in Cincinnati he married Barbara Hotel.

Ernest was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Beulah Drago; his twin brother, Eugene Wilson; and four more brothers, Paul, Charles, Hershel, and Clarence. He is survived by his loving wife of over 54 years, Barbara Wilson; his three children, Jeffrey Wilson, Kathleen Mueller and her husband David and Douglas Wilson; his two sisters, Marjorie White and her husband Nick and Doris Dunn; eight grandchildren, Nicholas, Zachary, Brittany, Ashley, Callie, Kaitlyn, Austin and Morgan; two great-grandsons, Conner and Brayden and one great-granddaughter on the way, Kira; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 3300 Parkcrest Lane, Cincinnati, Ohio 45211 on Friday, January 15, 2016 at 12 noon with Pastor Greg McDaniel officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery – New. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 am until the time of service.
