Eugenia Gruber

Gruber, Eugenia Cecilia (nee Craig) Age 93. Passed away peacefully January 26, 2012 with her family at her side. Beloved wife of 70 years to Elmer J. Gruber. Loving mother of James J. (Charmaine) Gruber, Robert B. (Janice) Gruber, Mary Ann (William) Wiehe, Timothy X. (Peggy) Gruber. Loving sister of the Late Eileen (William) Leugers. Devoted grandmother of Andrea Gruber (Michael) Brunsman, Amanda Gruber (Daniel) Creech, Annette Gruber (Rick) Bell, Mark (Liz) Gruber, Tricia (Chad) Knight, Jeff Wiehe, Amy (Chris) Hastings, Brian (Jen) Gruber, Holly (Don) Spenthoff, Matthew (Beth) Gruber, Kristy (Eric) Dearth. Also survived by 25 great grandchildren whom she loved with all her heart and soul.

Active member of Xavier University Booklovers Association for 40 years. Served as Mardi Gras chairman in 1968. Avid Cincinnati Reds and Xavier University fan for many years. A 1935 graduate of Mt. Notre DameHigh School. Attended Edgecliff College where she was president of her freshman and sophomore classes.

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 11:30 AM, Monday January 30, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 2853 Erie Ave, Cincinnati, Ohio 45208, (Hyde Park), followed by Mass of Christian Burial. Internment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Deupree House or Association of Miraculous Medal, 1811 West Saint Joseph Street, Perryville, MO 63775.
