Chaney, Florence 'Flo' (nee Thurman), age 90, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2015. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on April 16, 1925 to the late John and Flora Thurman (nee Glass). She was a devout Christian who cherished her role as a mother. She cared for her family and those around her through her meticulous housekeeping, great cooking and her broad sense of humor. Flo loved listening to Rock-n-Roll music and dancing to Elvis.
Flo is survived by her Daughter, Donna Hanson, Son, Thomas W. (Deborah) Hanson, and Son, John (Cheryl) Hanson and their father, Gary Hanson; 7 Grandchildren, Kathy (Jamie) Birkofer, Nancy (Jesse) Armstrong, Leslie (Bo) Myrell, Monica (Ryan) Schatzle, Ryan (Marissa) Hanson, Trevor Hanson, and Taylor Hanson; 7 Great Grandchildren, Kyra Birkofer, Leah Birkofer, Royce Armstrong, Roland Armstrong, Sage Myrell, Claire Schatzle, and Avery Schatztle; and a host of other family members and friends. In addition to her parents, Flo was preceded in death by her Husband, Bud Chaney. She grew up in a large family with her Brothers, Sam Spears, James Spears, and Ralph Thurman; and Sisters, Helen Nance and Dolores Boston.

Flo loved where she lived the last four years, Bridgeway Point. She had many friends there. Her Bridgeway friends and all the employees that cared for her there meant the world to her. She commented frequently about the wonderful care she received there. Her family wishes to thank Bridgeway Point for all they did for their beloved mother.
The family would also like to thank Vitas Hospice for the care and comfort given to Flo in her final days. They provided the best of care for Flo and the family. What a true blessing they were.
