Franklin Johnson

Franklin D. Johnson, age 70 of Springfield, Oregon formerly of Cincinnati passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2011. He was born in Jellico, Tennessee on October 15, 1941 the son of Fred Johnson and Frances (Fletcher) Creekmore. Frank was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. He was formerly employed will Allied Van Lines and most recently with Prestige Movers, travelling all across the country.

He is survived by two sisters, Juanita (Robert) Boland of Cincinnati and Margaret (Bill) Phillips of Madeira; two brothers, Carl (Carol) Johnson of Lincoln, Nebraska and Jim (Janice) Lay of Cincinnati; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Michael Lay.

Funeral service will be held at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 7830 Hamilton Avenue, on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at 10:00 am with Pastor Jim Spicer officiating. Burial will follow in Dayton National Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 9:00 am until 10:00 am.
