Frederick E. Fox, age 80, passed away July 31, 2023.
He was born to the late Robert C. Fox and Beatrice (Wildt) Fox on May 22, 1943.
Fred served 4 years in the US Navy, stationed in Hawaii, flew 4,000 hours in air defense and last duty aboard the USS Bennington aircraft carrier. He retired in 2000, after 33 years with AT&T. Fred enjoyed bowling, golf and traveling with family and friends.
Fred is survived by his wife, Mary Jo (Morrow) Fox; children, Jim Hoxie and Sean (Natalie) Hoxie; grandchildren, Kyle, Will and Dana Hoxie; plus many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his four brothers, Robert (Lois) Fox, Richard (Shirley) Fox, Tom (Jenny) Fox, and Don (Sandy) Fox; and also nephew, Don, Jr.
Visitation will be held 10:00 am to 11:00 am, Thursday, August 10, 2023, with funeral services being held at 11:00 am at Westwood United Methodist Church, 3460 Epworth Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45211.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Hospice of Cincinnati, 4360 Cooper Road, Cincinnati, OH 45242 or Westwood United Methodist Church, 3460 Epworth Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45211.
