Gail S. Chen, 79, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, of Florence, KY, passed away June 18, 2019. Born in Staten Island, NY, she was the oldest of four children. She was the daughter of the late Bernard and Winnifred Sirkus. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Van Marc Sirkus and Chester Sirkus, and sister Melody Ardith Sirkus.
After graduating from Miami Senior High School, Gail honorably served her country in the United Sates Air Force. She enjoyed parachute jumping and flying in planes while serving her country. She was the proud mother of Ann Marie Scheller (David), and Craig Robert Chen (Kim), and three grandchildren. Gail was an entrepreneur of sorts having held various jobs as an Eastern Airline flight attendant, real estate agent, consultant, legal secretary and more.
She enjoyed spending her time with her family and grandchildren and had an incredible passion for animals, dancing and reading. She will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by her family and friends.

Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 21, 2019 at 10:00 am at the St. Paul's Catholic Church, 7301 Dixie Highway, Florence, Kentucky, 41042 with visitation from 9-10 am. Burial will follow at the St. John's Catholic Cemetery, 1 St. John Road, Fort Mitchell, Kentucky 41011. Services are under the direction of Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 4350 Dixie Highway, Erlanger, Kentucky 41018.
