Gail P. Goebel

Goebel, Gail age 72, of Independence, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2020. She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on September 15, 1948 to James H. Patrick and Ruby L. Newton (nee Hogan). She was a beloved teacher in the Boone County school system for 37 years. Gail loved reading, going out with her friends, and playing bingo.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, James Goebel; her daughter, Donna Herring; her grandson, James Mason Goebel; her sister-in-law, Nona Lucas; and her brother-in-law, Bill Goebel. Gail is survived by her daughters, Amber Goebel Mitchell and Ashley Goebel and her fiance, Christopher Huesing; her grandchildren, Corey, Josh, Tiffany, Cassidy, Jamie, Jasmine, Brayden, Jensen and Macy; her great-grandchildren, Alexis, Alex, Wyatt, Andrew and one on the way; her sister, Karen McNaughton; her sister-in-law, Joanne Goebel Holladay; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2020 with a from 12:00 pm until time of service at 2 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Northern Kentucky Chapel, 4350 Dixie Highway, Erlanger, Kentucky 41018. Burial will follow at Union Rice Cemetery. She will be greatly missed by her family and her many friends.
