April 6, 1958 — December 19, 2023
George (Jeff) Young, age 65 and 8 months of Latonia, Kentucky went home to be with his maker, God in Heaven. He was surrounded by the love of his family on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at Campbell County Cold Springs Transitional Care; losing his battle of 14 months with brain cancer. Born to parents Ruth and Herman Young.
Jeff went to Catholic School until eight grade, then attended Campbell Co. High School, plus two years of Drafting School. He finally settled on what he loved to do which were computers.
Jeff is survived by his wife of 43 years 6 months, sisters; Roberta Smith, Mahala Gilene, and Oneida Young, and many nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his mother, Ruth Young, father, Herman Young and one brother, Herman L. Young.
Jeff was a great provider, working two jobs most of his adult life. Jeff met his wife, Kim, in July 1979 at R.L.Polk & Co. where they both worked, and they were married on June 7th, 1980. A valued employee of Siemens/Atos/Trinet Webhelp for many years where he was in Telecommunications; also US Bank. He was well liked and had many friends at both places. A faithful, loving husband and friend to all, never met a stranger, always happy and joking. He was always there to help neighbors with whatever they needed, whether it would be fixing their computers or doing home repairs, such as roofing, etc. Jeff loved food and loved to eat, his favorite was pasta. He enjoyed reading and traveling, company of family, friends and most of all loved the dogs that him and Kim raised together. Jeff will be sadly missed by his wife, family and friends.
