Geraldine Glover was born to the union of Abie Glover Sr. and Thelma E. (Dillard) Glover, on January 9, 1955, in Cincinnati, Ohio. She attended Samuel Ach Junice High School and graduated from Hughes High School, in Cincinnati, Ohio. After graduation, she enrolled in Job Corps and was stationed in Cleveland, Ohio, Geral-dine diligence and dedication garnered her a scholarship to study Art Design and Development at the University of Northern Iowa, in Cedar Falls, Iowa, in 1981.
Geraldine worked as a counselor for Job Corps in the West End until she was injured in 2000.
Family was important to her, and she gave birth to a daughter in 1990, Geneva Elizabeth Glover, who passed away shortly after birth. Geraldine welcomed her beloved son, Justin Thomas Glover on May 26, 1993. They maintained a close relationship until her passing.
An avid neighborhood influencer, Geraldine served as Democratic Precinct Captain in Kennedy Heights. She lived in Kennedy Heights for 20 years.
Geraldine was full of personality and had a big heart! She once received a live baby rooster to experiment on for school. Killing the rooster was a part of the assignment. She couldn't do it! Instead, she smuggled the baby rooster home and named him George. George lived at her parents' home along with Blackie, her dog for two years! She loved music of all genres. Two of her favorite musical groups were Lakeside (Fantastic Voyage) and The Eagles (Hotel California). Her love for gardening was well known. Her favorite flower was roses. She loved to cook for the holidays, Barbequing for the Fourth of July, Labor Day, and extravagant Christmas dinners.
Geraldine's life is celebrated by her son, Justin Thomas Glover, and her siblings, Juanita, Deborah Ann Glover-Fells, Stephanie Glover, Muhammad Ali Bey, Denise Rence Glover, Mai Michele Glover, and Kimberly Rebecca Glover, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and family.
Geraldine also had a life companion James Hawkins.
Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents and two siblings, Abie Glover Jr., and Hattie Mae Glover:
Geraldine was a loving mother and sister. She was loved and will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be Friday January 17, 2025, from 12:00 pm until the funeral service at 1:00 pm located at 3300 Parkcrest Lane Cincinnati, Ohio 45211.
