Life's Reflection
Gladys M. McGuire was born to bless the union of the later Arnold and Mazell Browder in Polk County, Georgia on December 7, 1926. She attended Polk County School District.
Gladys moved to Cincinnati, Ohio in 1947 and united the New Hope Baptist church under the late Rev. J.M. Stephens. She served as a member of the Senior Choir II, Inspirational Choir, Lewis Danforth Scholarship Committee and various other auxiliaries until her health prevented her in doing so.
She worked for Shillito's currently Federated Department Store as a supervisor at the distribution center until retiring.
Gladys united in holy matrimony August 25, 1958 to Oster McGuire. Her husband preceded her in death. To this union they were blessed with a daughter Jennifer L. McGuire and Oster's son, Philip from a previous marriage.
On January 31, 2012, she was called home after a lengthy illness. Left to cherish her memory: her beloved daughter Jennifer and stepson, Phillip (Evon) McGuire. She joins her siblings Maybell Hudson, Jewell Fredrick and Silas Browder.
She leaves to mourn her siblings Thelma Moore of Rome, Georgia, Sylvia Hatcher and Julia Woolfolk of Cincinnati, Ohio, Franklin Browder of Cedar Town, Georgia, Arnold Browder Jr. (Peggy) of Rome, Georgia, a host of nieces, nephews, friends and grand dog Rossco.
