Grace Madeline Herbers, age 81, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2023. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on October 9, 1942, to George and Anna Nemann (nee Schweer).
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Herb, and her son, Nick, and her brother Ed Nemann.
Grace is loving mother of Joe (Trish) Herbers and Jennifer (Matt) Birkle, the devoted grandmother of Alex (Lydia), Logan and Barry Herbers, Sean, Brianna, and Lauren Birkle. Grace is the sister of Peggy Schreibeis and Mary Ann Miller. She is the aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Grace is a Mother of Mercy Alumnus. She is longtime member of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish. She was involved with Meals on Wheels, Tender Mercies, Ladies Sodality and Scouts. Grace served as Festival Treasurer and ran the school cafeteria. She was sweet, generous, loving, thoughtful and appreciative until the end.
PLEASE NOTE THIS SPECIAL SCHEDULE
The Visitation will be Thursday, December 28, 2023 from 6 PM to 8 PM, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, West Side Chapel, 3300 Parkcrest Lane, Cincinnati (45211)
The Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 3450 Lumardo Drive, Cincinnati (45238). Burial will follow in St Joseph Old Cemetery. Please meet the family at church.
In loving memory of Grace , contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 644 Linn Street, Cincinnati, Ohio (45204).
