Gregory passed away on Friday, December 7, 2012 at Kenwood Terrace Care Center. He was born on May 21, 1952 to the Late Edward R. Lloyd and Doris E. Lloyd.
There are great people who make the world a better place through their art, their social service, their genius or their generosity. Gregory Lloyd touched the lives of every person he met simply through his pure and unconditional love. In his simplicity he could not be judgmental. He was incapable of jealousy or bearing a grudge. He only knew how to love and he did it freely and joyously. Everyone was his "honey" - especially the ladies. His music came from his heart and, even though it was hard to understand the words or follow the melody, everyone who listened to his songs heard his soul. He did not understand race or creed or one's political beliefs. Everyone was equal in his eyes. He was among the greatest of teachers of what it means to be truly human. Our greatest honor to him will be to follow his lead.
Gregory is survived by his brother, Peter D.(Judith) Lloyd of Newport, KY.; brother, Thomas Victor Lloyd of Cincinnati, OH.; sister, Diana M. (John C.)Durbin of Elizabethtown, KY.; sister, Mary Karen Scott of Versailles, KY. Loving uncle of Jennnifer (Steve) Yates; John M.
