H. Alton Fessel

Fessel, H. Alton age 91, of Sarasota, Florida passed away on Saturday, December 8, 2018. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on March 15, 1927 to Herman Alton and Marcella Fessel Sr. (nee Schaefer).

He was preceded in death by his father, Herman Alton Fessel, Sr.; his mother, Marcella Fessel; and his brother, Carl Fessel. H. Alton is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Karen Fessel (nee Bjork); two sons, Thomas (Vernice) Fessel and William (Jean Berberich) Fessel; two daughters, Cheryl Fehring and Janice Fessel; step-daughter, Cheryl Ballinger; step-son, James (Kim) Cornetet; one sister, Patricia (Al) Helfferich; seven grandchildren, Peter Fehring, Emily Kahn, Christopher Fessel, Jacqueline Millican, Jonathan Fessel, Angela Fessel and Kathryn Fessel; step-grandchildren, Paige, Brooke, Claire and Peter Cornetet, Zachary and Tara Ballinger and Logan Konitsch; eleven great-grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends.

At the request of the family, please no flowers. Donations may be directed to, Holy Family Food Pantry or Elder High School.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am Friday, December 14, 2018 at Our Lady of the Visitation, 3172 South Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45248. Visitation will be held from 6pm until 8pm on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Newcomer Funeral Home - West Side Chapel, 3300 Parkcrest Lane, Cincinnati, Ohio 45211.
