Harrison E. Ramsey "Nookie" as affectionately known by family and friends was born to the union of the late Harrison H. and Selma Ramsey in Ithaca, New York, November 29, 1955. He came to Cincinnati, OH at a very early age.
"Nookie" departed this life on November 28, 2018 after a courageous battle with diabetes and kidney failure. He was able to get a kidney transplant approx 10 years ago.
He was educated in the Cincinnati Public School system attending converter technical high school before enlisting in the Navy in 1974. After discharge and throughout his adult life he worked in construction and rehabbing houses until he became disabled.
November 6, 1982, he married Lillian "Sue" Poore and to this union, he leases to mourn his wife of 36 years; sons, George Hawkins and Jeffery (Becky) Ramsey; daughters, Sharon Ramsey, Alexandra Davis, and Tremaker Brown; 13 grandchildren; brothers, Dr. Joseph A., Robert A., Matthew Ramsey; sisters, Barbara Ramsey, Shirley Ramsey, Carolyn McClinton, and Marilyn King; aunts and uncles, Jeanette Merritt, Betty Ramsey and Frank Wynn. He leaves a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He exchanged his earthly burdens for his heavenly home to be joined with his parents, brother, John Michael and his favorite aunt, Margaret and others who preceded him in death.
