SPRAWL, Hattie Mae age 64, of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away on Friday, April 18, 2014. She was born on April 27, 1949 to Leroy and Laudora (Whitney) Ford.
She confessed Christ at an early age under the leadership of Bishop Jaspher Phillips at First Pentecostal, where she received the Holy Spirit and spoke in tongues. Her last church home was Greater Canaan Missionary Baptist Church to which she still belonged. She was educated in the Public School system. She went on to receive her certification in Culinary Arts at Harriet Beecher Stowe School. She took care of seven people at the age of seventeen (her grandparents, sister and children). Later in life she married Arthur Lee Sprawl on February 9, 1974 (preceded her in death). She leaves not to mourn her passing, but to keep in loving memory her five daughters, Lisa Chambers, Alice Ballew, Patricia (Keith) Shields, Mary (Souleymane) Seck, Hattie R. Sprawl and one son David L. Sprawl; she also leaves three lovely step-children, Queenae D. Sprawl, Tina M. Sprawl and Arthur Lee Sprawl, Jr.; she also raised three grandchildren, David, Dashana and Dashawna Sprawl as her own. She leaves six sisters, Rosemary Ford, Eldora (Ronald) Williams, Lorraine Ford, Rachel (Keith) Kimber, Theresa (Angel) Rivera and Ollie Ford; two brothers, Leroy and Joseph Ford, one brother Billy Ford (who preceded her in death). She has 26 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren which she was very proud of and a host of other relatives and friends which she truly loved!
