Helen Whitley-Stanton passed away on November 9, 2012. She was born on January 9, 1920 in Woodlawn, Ohio, the daughter of Myrtle (nee Lewis) and Gibson Ledbetter.
She was a teacher over 30 years. She had a positive influence to her family and students. She was one of 5 daughters, all school teachers. She attended Kentucky State University and a member of Delta Sigma Theta sorority. She had a vibrant personality, very fun loving.
She is survived by her daughter, Teri Whitley-Lanton; grandchild, Nicholas Lanton; sister, Ruth McLean; niece, Roz Smith; two grandnephews and a grandniece; our loving pet Whitley.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Phil and Mark Whitley; her sisters, Lillian Aikens and Laura Brown.
