Hilton Humphrey, Jr., age 54, of Independence, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2023. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky on December 23, 1968 to Hilton Humphrey, Sr. and Brenda Atchison (nee Cornett).
Hilton is survived by his beloved wife, Laura Humphrey (nee Vice); parents, Hilton (the late Joyce) Humphrey, Sr., and Brenda Atchison; children, Sidnee Stamper, Hailee Stamper, Annelise Humphrey and Elliana Humphrey; siblings, Lashonna Lee and Jarvis Humphrey; grandparents, Sam Humphrey, Mary Humphrey, Pauline Fisher and Charles Edward Atchison, Sr.; and a host of other family members and friends.
Hilton made a big impact on everyone he crossed paths with, whether that was working with them or just being acquaintances. He never met a stranger and was an integral part in the transformation of many lives.
He had a passion for music and spent time as a drummer in a band in his younger years. He also enjoyed watching sports and was a huge Louisville Cardinals fan.
Hilton spent time in the U.S. Air Force as an air cargo specialist. He had a lengthy career in law enforcement; spending time as a corrections officer at the Georgia Department of Corrections and various roles with Kenton County Detention Center, most recently the Accreditation Manager.
A visitation will be held Saturday, December 23, 2023 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm with a service to follow at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Northern Kentucky Chapel, 4350 Dixie Highway, Erlanger, Kentucky 41018.
Hilton's service will be livestreamed at the scheduled service time.
