Iola Dixon was born January 19, 1940 to Ezra Lee and Josephine Johnson in Caldwell Parish, Louisiana.
Iola confessed Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and was baptized at an early age.
Iola received her degree as a respiratory therapist, and she worked at Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago, IL for many years until she retired due to illness.
Iola moved to Cincinnati, Ohio in 2004.
Iola departed this life on June 19, 2012.
Iola leaves to cherish her memory her loving mother, Josephine Johnson of Chicago, IL; two daughters, Karen Robinson of Cincinnati, OH and Debra Evans of Chicago, IL; two sons, Gary and Kevin Evans of Chicago, IL; one son-in-law, James Robinson of Cincinnati, OH; one niece, Paula Hawkins of Chicago, IL; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a special and dear friend Ms. Regina Wheeler; and a host of relatives and friends.
Iola was preceded in death by her husband Richard Dixon, her sister Loretta Lowery, and her daughter Patricia Ann Evans.
