John "Jack" Allan Kimmey, age 93, of Colerain Township, Ohio passed away on Monday, March 9, 2020.
He was born in Reading, Ohio on August 12, 1926 to Thaddeus and Mearl Mae Kimmey (nee Adams).
Jack was a Veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II in France, Germany and Belgium. He was a past Deacon at the Lockland Christian Church, a member of the Norwood Masonic Lodge #576, Scottish Rite Valley of Cincinnati, Syrian Shriner's, American Legion Guth Brothers, and the Knights of Pythias. Jack was an avid golfer who continued up until ago 90. He was the owner of Kimmey Plumbing in Springdale, Ohio and was a Master Plumber, License Number 144.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Inella Gast and Thelma Messner; mother-in-law, Clara Mae Garver; father-in-law, George Russell Garver; and three brothers-in-law, Robert Henry Garver, Sylvan Lynn Garver, and Clifford Austin Garver.
Jack is survived by his beloved wife of 72 years, Judith Ann Kimmey (nee Garver); darling daughter, Vickie (Michael) Jump; five sons, Thomas A. (Pamela) Kimmey, Joseph R. (Vicki) Kimmey, John Scott (Donna) Kimmey, Jeffrey R. "Turtle" (Brenda ) Kimmey, and James R. Kimmey; grandchildren, Christine A. (Josh) Feese, Sean A. (Beth) Kimmey, Joseph R. (Kevin) Kimmey, Jr., Jeffrey (Christi) Kimmey, Jr., Scott A. (Andrea) Kimmey, Jenny E. (Matt) Stevens, Justin R. (Tiffiny) Kimmey, Michael D. Kimmey, James R. Kimmey, Jr., Rachel A. (Mike) Evangelo, and Joshua A. Kimmey; 18 great grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends.
Family and friends may gather for a viewing on Friday, March 13, 2020 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Northwest Chapel, 7830 Hamilton Avenue, Mt. Healthy, Ohio, from 10:00 to 11:00AM. Funeral services will begin following the viewing at the funeral home at 11:00AM. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
