Jack James Lemming, Sr., age 94, of Demossville, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2023. He was born in Loda, Illinois on February 2, 1929 to the late John William and Catherine Lemming (nee Genzel).
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife of 62 years Grace Lucille Lemming (nee Sharon), son, Robert Lemming, granddaughter, Brandy Grace, siblings, Marion Lemming, Warren Lemming, Robert Lemming, Marge Young, Barbara Kuhn, Esther Johnson and Benjamin Lemming. Jack is survived by his beloved children, Brenda (Barry) Hampton, Jack (Melissa) Lemming, Jr., and John (Tracy) Lemming; step-son, Nelson (Mary) Lemming; grandchildren, Jody Boyce, Tyler Hampton, Ashley Lemming, Ian (Rachel) Lemming, Chaz Lemming and Garrett Lemming; great-grandchildren, Peyton Lemming, Avery Lemming, Mya Boyce and Zayne Boyce; and a host of other family members and friends.
Jack was a proud WWII veteran, serving in the Navy on the USS Boxer CV-21. He had a great love for animals and his family, always playing with his children outside. He spent over 20 years with the Litton Unit Handling System as a welder.
In loving memory of Jack, contributions may be made to Kenton County Animal Shelter. A visitation will be held Monday, December 11, 2023 from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm with a service to follow at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Northern Kentucky Chapel, 4350 Dixie Highway, Erlanger, Kentucky 41018.
