Jack Robert Schroth, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2024, in Crescent Springs, Kentucky, surrounded by his beloved family. He was born on July 25, 1947, in Covington, Kentucky, and lived a life filled with kindness, wisdom, and a gentle spirit that touched all who knew him.
Jack will be remembered for his soft-spoken demeanor and his unwavering patience. He held steadfastly to the values he often shared: “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you” and “think before you speak.” These guiding principles not only defined his character but also served as a reminder to those lucky enough to have crossed paths with him. His kindness extended beyond words; it was evident in his actions and the care he showed to everyone around him.
Throughout his life, Jack exhibited a unique talent for mechanics, often seen tinkering with cars or mowing the lawn, finding joy in the simple act of taking care of his surroundings. In his later years, he developed an interest in computers, delighting in the ability to connect and engage with the world in new ways.
Jack was especially grateful to live in his grandparents' home just down the street from where he grew up and keep it in the family for many years to come. He felt most at home here.
Jack is survived by his beloved wife, Anna Schroth (nee Fair), with whom he shared 51 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a loving family that includes their daughter, Amy (Derek) Williams, and three adoring grandchildren: Ashley, Autumn (Derek), and Derek Todd Williams. Jack was also proud to be the great-grandfather of Avery Ware, who brought light and joy into his life during his later years. He leaves behind his dear sister, Janet (Kenneth) Stadtmiller, and a host of other family members and friends who will carry his memory in their hearts.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clyde Schroth, and mother, Estelle Schroth (nee Deglow), as well as his brothers Gary and Bruce Schroth. Though they are gone, their memories and the bond they shared with Jack will provide solace to those mourning his loss.
As we reflect on Jack's life, we celebrate a man whose patience and kindness enriched the lives of so many. He will be profoundly missed, but his legacy of love and compassion will forever endure in the hearts of his family and friends.
The family will be holding private services at their convenience. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Kidney Fund, please see the link below to donate directly to them.
